X-Fighters Madrid : A collection of shots from my two days at the 2011 X-Fighters in Madrid. I was there to shoot Eigo Sato, but as he had an injury he was unable to compete, so this is why you will not see him in the finals. My only regrets about this shoot are I didn't shoot more of Eigo with concerns to his injury, and I didn't have a 70-200/2.8 lens for the night shots. Now on my long list of "must buy" items though =)

The athlete here is Elias Ambuhl, who is an up and coming free skier specializing in big air competitions. Really laid back guy and easy to shoot making it a fun day of photography. Red Bull Holy Ride : Take a ride down hundreds of stone stairs and live to tell. These pics are from the Red Bull Holy Ride held at Otokoyamaya, Kyoto. This was a great event, with an awesome turn out, but some late night rain made the course supper slippery causing more than one rider to bail. It was a challenging day to say the least, but a ton of fun was had by all! Check out You Tube for some cool video as well, not by me though.

Red Bull Snow Charge 2010 : Red Bull’s 2010 Snow Charge. This event had 200 people racing down the hill, with 1st place receiving 200,000 yen in cash. Unfortunately, as you can tell the weather was foggy, and the riders got stretched out right from the start, so it was impossible to get “the shot” I needed. Well, at least it didn’t rain, and everyone had a great time!

Red Bull Digger in Nagano : I actually had to spend a week in Nagano for this event so I could photograph the making of the course. With a bit of rain it was a bit iffy if the event could even happen, but with some strong sun over the last day it was a go! I think the best part was when someone finally started hitting the gap right at the end of the day, too bad the light was already on its way home.
